Stalking the stalkers

DJ's Hisham, MD Sound, and Tesh-a-holic (that's me!)

Music format: Eclectic with much emphasis on world. Hisham is focusing almost exclusively on African, MD on other worldly stuff and yours truly on as follows.

I'm not sure what day the show will be, but I know that we will be on at 4:00am sometime in the middle of the week.

There are three of us doing the show, being dan Hisham and myself. The first six weeks we will each be doing 40 minute segments. The following three weeks we will be each doing a 1 hour show, hence there are three of us, on person will have a week of. The following three weeks we will each be doing an entire show. Here is a basic itinerary:

1. Surf
2. Alt. Country/ Folk/ No depression
3. Hawaiian
4. Rockabilly/ Psychobilly
5. Flamenco
6. Shredder stuff (Yngwie Malmsteen, etc) or indie-gurrrl stuff
7. Jazz groove / Acid Jazz / Soul Jazz / Hip hop
9. Tango
11. Jazz guitar

For the Hawaiian show I hope to play some 3 plus, Israel Kamakaawiwo'ole (try and say that one fast 5 times) Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu (and try again) Don ho, fiji, Brook Benton

For the Tango show the usual suspects are in order Astor Piazzolla, Juan-Jose Mosalini, Francsic Canaro, and some Gardel. A little new stuff by Al Di Meola and some Yo Yo Ma might find its way in there. Maybe even some Gotan Project might make it's way in there, seeing how they're bringing the Tango into the 21st century.

The Jazz guitar show should be interesting, chronicling it's development and it's impact on Jazz. Expect to hear:

Lonnie Johnson & Eddie Lang, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Tal Farlow, Grant Green, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, Pat Maratino, Freddie Green, Kenny Burrell, Barney Kessel, Sonny Shamrock, Mike Stern, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Lenny Breau, and Stanley Jordan.
